Also, each jurisdiction has specific elevator testing requirements. Stanley has the most robust elevator service organization in New England to perform full, in-depth elevator inspections and then quickly remedy any problems so that your facility stays running smoothly.

OUR INSPECTION & TESTING SERVICES

Maintenance Control Plans (MCP)

We follow maintenance control plans (MCPs), which are standard documents that include manufacturer recommendations for elevator maintenance requirements. Every elevator will have its own MCP, and the documents can change in the event of recalls, replacements or obsolescence.

Features of an MCP include:

1. Recommended intervals for servicing and testing
2. Directions for how to maintain the equipment
3. Code excerpts for proper maintenance

MCPs are required on a state-by-state basis. For example, MCPs are required in Maine but not in Massachusetts or New Hampshire. This means that state inspectors in Maine will be looking at the MCP during testing. MCPs are typically stored in the elevator machine room.
